Couragier — Privacy Policy
Review version — October 1, 2026
1. Who is responsible for your data?
FiabPartners LLC, operator of the Couragier brand, is responsible for processing carried out under its control in Couragier services.
This policy covers Couragier Academy, Couragier University, Couragier Adventures and the registrations, courses, masterclasses, webinars, communities and digital resources that refer to it. It covers couragier.com and learn.couragier.com, shop.couragier.com, checkout.couragier.com and app.couragier.com to the extent we operate those services.
For data questions or to exercise a right, email hello@couragier.com with the subject “Personal data / Privacy”.
2. Data we process and its sources
The data depends on the service you use. We do not need every category for every visitor.
| Category | Examples | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Identity and contact | Name, email, WhatsApp number, declared country, chosen language | Forms, account and communications |
| Registration and account | Selected webinar or course, account identifiers, registration status | You and the learning platform |
| Purchases and transactions | Offer, amount, currency, date, transaction number, payment and refund status | Checkout and payment providers |
| Learning | Progress, exercises, answers and completed lessons when recorded by the service | Your platform activity |
| Communications and community | Support requests, comments, messages and submitted content | You and the spaces you join |
| Technical data | IP address, browser, device, pages or usage events, cookies and technical identifiers | Browser, hosting and integrated tools |
| Recorded sessions | Voice, image or contributions in a recorded session with appropriate notice | Training session or webinar |
The payment provider processes sensitive information for the payment methods it manages. Do not send passwords, PINs or full card numbers in Couragier emails or messages. We receive transaction information needed to confirm payment and provide access; the exact details depend on the provider.
3. Why do we use data?
We use necessary data to:
- Process registration, confirm your place and send access details and reminders for requested services.
- Manage accounts, payments, refunds, access and learning progress where available.
- Answer questions, provide support and resolve technical issues.
- Protect services, identify duplicate registrations, limit fraud and maintain required records.
- Improve services using usage data and statistics, subject to applicable consent requirements.
- Send news or marketing offers based on consent or another applicable legal basis, with an unsubscribe option.
- Measure advertising and prepare marketing audiences only according to your choices and applicable rules.
Registering for a webinar does not automatically consent to all Couragier marketing. Reminders for a requested webinar and commercial messages about other offers are different uses.
4. Legal bases where required
Where a law such as the GDPR applies, the legal basis depends on the purpose:
- Contract or precontractual steps: registration, training delivery, payments and support necessary for requested services.
- Legal obligations: accounting, transaction records and valid legal requests.
- Legitimate interests: security, fraud prevention and proportionate improvements after considering your rights and expectations. This does not replace consent for trackers requiring it.
- Consent: optional cookies, marketing or other uses where required. You may withdraw consent without making previously lawful processing unlawful.
If information is necessary for a service and you do not provide it, we may be unable to deliver that service. Refusing marketing or optional cookies does not, by itself, remove access to core services.
5. Providers and other recipients
We share necessary data with providers that help operate services, depending on the service and applicable choices. Their roles may differ: some process data for us, while others manage their own processing under their own policies.
| Service or provider | Why it may receive data |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Hosting, security, APIs and registration-record storage supporting Couragier services |
| WHOP and payment providers shown at checkout | Purchases, payment status and associated product access |
| Brevo, for emails sent through it | Confirmations, reminders and email communications; open or click data if tracking is lawfully enabled |
| WhatsApp / Meta, when you use WhatsApp | Communications and communities you choose to join |
| YouTube / Google, for YouTube videos | Video display and associated player functions |
| Meta, where Pixel and Conversions API are enabled | Advertising and conversion measurement and other disclosed and authorized marketing uses |
We may share data with professional advisers or authorities where legally necessary, and during a business transaction with applicable safeguards and notices. We must not share more data than the purpose requires.
6. Meta Pixel, Conversions API and tracking
On services using them, Meta Pixel may send browser events, while Conversions API may send server events. Events may include action type, offer or webinar, language, action time and event identifier. Depending on the authorized configuration, other contact or technical data may associate an event with a user.
Hashing an email or another identifier does not necessarily anonymize it. Sending events through a server does not remove privacy obligations or applicable consent choices.
Refusing marketing must control both browser tracking and server-side marketing transmissions where that choice applies. It does not prevent Couragier from recording your registration or delivering requested services for operational purposes.
Data sharing for targeted advertising may fall within legal definitions of “sale” or “sharing” in some jurisdictions, even without monetary payment. Opt-out rights depend on applicable law; see your rights below.
7. Cookies and preferences
Cookies, localStorage and other technologies may store information on your device. We distinguish purposes:
- Necessary: security, accounts, sessions, checkout and saving privacy choices to the extent necessary for the service.
- Preferences: optional convenience choices such as appearance when not essential to requested services.
- Statistics: understanding usage and improving services.
- Marketing: measuring advertisements, matching conversions and preparing audiences.
Use Cookie preferences to accept optional categories, reject them or choose categories. Cookies requiring consent must wait for a valid choice. Closing a popup, silence or continued browsing is not consent to optional categories.
You can reopen preferences through the footer button or link. Changes apply to future uses and do not automatically erase data already lawfully processed. You may request deletion where that right applies. Your browser also provides cookie-removal tools.
A choice saved in one browser does not automatically synchronize across devices or subdomains. Another browser or cleared local data may require a new choice. If a video player or another optional service requires consent, we must provide a clear activation method and explain its impact.
8. Emails and WhatsApp
We may send confirmations, reminders and messages about requested services. For marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link or email hello@couragier.com. Withdrawing marketing consent does not prevent messages necessary to manage an active purchase or service.
Joining a WhatsApp group is a separate choice. Depending on group type and WhatsApp settings, participants may see your phone number, name or profile photo. Do not share sensitive data in the group. You can leave, but this does not necessarily delete messages or copies others already received.
9. How long do we retain data?
We retain data only as long as needed for its purposes, legal obligations, security and complaint resolution:
- Account and learning records during active service and as necessary to handle related requests.
- Payment and accounting records for legally required periods.
- Registration and support data as needed to deliver services and resolve requests.
- Marketing data while authorization or another legal basis remains valid; a minimal unsubscribe record may remain to honor your choice.
- Logs, analytics events and technical identifiers according to security or measurement purposes and provider settings.
When a category is no longer necessary, we delete or anonymize it under applicable procedures. Backups may remain during the backup cycle with restricted access. Contact us for retention information about a particular record.
10. Security and international transfers
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect data, including access restrictions and system protection. No system guarantees zero risk. We address incidents and provide notices where required by law.
Providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where international transfers require safeguards, we must use a valid mechanism such as an applicable adequacy decision or contractual clauses and necessary additional measures. Contact us about safeguards relevant to your data.
11. Your rights and making a request
Depending on your residence and applicable law, you may have rights to access, copies, correction, deletion, portability or restrictions on processing; to object to certain uses; to withdraw consent; or to opt out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising.
Email hello@couragier.com. Provide enough information to understand the request and identify the relevant record. We may proportionately verify identity for requests requiring it. We must not impose verification or other barriers prohibited by law for opt-outs. We respond within applicable legal deadlines and explain exceptions.
If the CCPA or another US state law applies to Couragier and your request, its specific rights remain available, including opting out of “sale/sharing,” correcting data and exercising rights without discrimination. Recognized opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control must be honored where legally required. A browser control does not automatically cover other channels; contact us for other requests.
You may complain to a competent data-protection authority. Contacting Couragier first is optional, not a condition for that right. In the services described here, we do not use data for solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects on learners; a new such use would require appropriate notice and safeguards.
12. Children, other sites and updates
Services are not intended for children under 13. If you believe we collected such a child’s data without required authorization, contact us for investigation and appropriate action. Parent or guardian requirements for learners below legal contracting age appear in the Terms and Conditions.
Linked independent sites and services may have their own policies. Read them before submitting data.
We may update this policy, show the version date and notify material changes as legally required. A new purpose requiring consent does not begin merely because we change the text.
